LIDL shoppers have been rushing to fill their freezers with a household dinner essential thanks to an “amazing” half price offer.
The German discount supermarket is selling its Beef Mince Meat at 50 per cent off and customers can’t get enough.
The product is listed for £4.99 online but shoppers can now grab it for just £2.50.
The big reveal was made by one very happy customer on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, who said “it pays to check your Lidl Plus app”.
He revealed how the “amazing” offer also had no limit on the number of mince meat packs you could use it on – so he ended up buying ten.
With the 50 per cent discount, he ended up saving an incredible £25.
While the shopper admitted that he knew of no one else who had the offer on their Lidl Plus app, he “doubts we were the only ones who received it.”
He did note, however, that the offer could only be applied to a single shop.
But with a ten day expiry code on it, there is plenty of time left for you to act if you are lucky enough to have the same discount.
All you need to do is check your Lidl Plus app.
Obviously if you don’t have the code, you can’t use it, but even if you do, it’s worth noting that some deals can vary depending on store and location.
Some may even be personalised offers, based off somebody’s recent spending habits and loyalty rewards.
Lidl made a big change to its Coupon Plus scheme last year, including free bakery items and a ten per cent off incentive.
If you are one of the lucky one’s to have been granted the 50 per cent discount voucher, however, you also have free reign over where it can be activated.
That’s because Lidl have allowed for their 50 per cent off voucher on beef mince meat to be used in all stores across the UK.
LIDL is renowned for its discounted prices but the German supermarket may have just raised the bar yet again with their latest deal.
And fellow shoppers were sent into a frenzy after the shopper uploaded evidence of his remarkable deal online.
One person on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook said: “Omg wish I had this.”
A second commented: “I’ve just checked mine and I have it as well, thank you so much.”
A third added: “That is good. It isn’t on mine but I’ve had some brill coupons – I always shop at Lidl cos the coupons are great.”
Lidl has also introduced a wide range of low prices on steaks and sausages as barbecue season approaches.

One Lidl shopper has also been left red-faced after hitting out at the bargain supermarket for a “sneaky price increase”– because all was not as it seemed.
The customer – from Hawick, Roxburghshire – had nipped into their local Lidl to pick up a multipack of bottled water but ended up being charged £7.57 more than usual for their 24 bottles.
