SHOPPERS are rushing to a major supermarket to get their hands on Diet Coke cans scanning for just 11p each.
The popular beverage usually costs above a pound, and so fizzy drink fanatics are ecstatic about the offer.

A woman posted on Facebook explaining how she stumbled upon the lucky deal in Tesco.
Alongside a picture of the canned drinks she wrote: “Just got these in Tesco Newton Abbot.
“About 50 to 60 left by the main door expire 31/10.”
The drinks were only reduced due to them nearing the end of their sell-by date.
Shops often reduce products by slapping a yellow sticker on item to clear old stock and make way for new items on shelves.
But this does mean that the discounts can vary from store to store.
The 24 pack of 330ml cans usually sell for £11 according to the Tesco website, around 45p per can.
Currently the best price available is £10.75 at Asda and Iceland, according to Trolley.co.uk.
The food is still good to eat, and in some cases, you can freeze what you buy so it will last that bit longer too.
But most importantly, you can often score a hefty discount – with some items marked down by as much as 80%.
You’ll normally find the goodies confined to their own shelf, in the bargain corner, or “sin bin” as many shoppers have dubbed it.
But a common theme in any store means each product will have the yellow sticker slapped on it, telling you its new reduced price.
The only problem with yellow sticker bargains is that they’re so popular that they can be quickly snapped up.
To make your yellow sticker bargain hunt worth it, time your visit right.
Many shoppers say you should head to Morrisons first thing, for example, to get the best buys.
Meanwhile, one ex-M&S worker told us that you need to visit “later on in the day” to get the same results.
That’s because “the stuff that’s got today’s date, or that day’s date on it, will be cheap,” they explained to The Sun.
Money-saving website latestdeals.co.uk revealed the best time to bag a yellow-sticker bargain in each of the major supermarkets.
Yellow stickers in Tesco can start in the afternoon, so keep your eyes peeled.
They tend to reduce items such as fresh meat, fish, fruit and veg and bakery items.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
The supermarket has made a major change to yellow stickers in some stores by giving them a major rebrand.
Now discounted items are labelled as reduced to clear on the shelves. rather than having stickers.
At the time the change was announced, Tesco chief customer officer Alessandra Bellini said: “ We want customers to spend less at Tesco, and our ‘reduced in price’ sections in stores now offer the reassurance that these products are just as nice and are another reminder there’s great value to be found on every aisle at Tesco.”
Meanwhile shoppers are rushing to a major retailer after finding a portable BBQ that’s 67% off.
Halfords has slashed the price of its briefcase BBQ bill, and customers have given it rave reviews.
In a post on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, one shopper said, “It’s an absolute bargain, great for camping or the beach.”
In response, another shopper said: “Thank you for this. I got it today!
“I used my blue light discount, so I got it for £4.60!”
Another said: “Tesco was selling a similar version of this but for £15 on their clearance.”
And Boots has launched a huge clearance sale with up to 60 per cent off makeup and skincare products.
The retailer has slashed the prices of items including facial serum, false eyelashes and a grooming set.
The lowest product on sale, costing just £2, is the Aroma Active Laboratories Tube Key.
The item helps you reduce waste as it can be used to reach all of the formula in your Aroma Active cream tube.
The same tube key costs £5 on Amazon or £6 on Look Fantastic.
Boots customers can also get a set of Eylure Pride-themed false eyelashes for £4 as part of the retailer’s clearance.
