LIDL is selling an affordable option to help protect your lawnmower from the elements this summer.
The discount chain’s Parkside Robot Lawnmower Garage is available in stores for £29.99.

The lawnmower garage is a small shelter that can be placed in the garden to cover robotic lawnmowers when they are not in use.
An extra £5 can also be taken off the price if you have the Lidl Plus app until tomorrow, making it £24.99.
The design aims to let you store your mower neatly while helping to shelter it from any rain, snow and direct sunlight.
It’s important to note, however, that pricier alternatives could offer better protection.
Bosch’s Indego Garage is priced at £159, but has tightly fitted walls to protect the mower inside.
Its description says it includes air vents which “provide ideal climatic conditions and protect against overheating”.
The Bosch version is also designed primarily for lawnmowers provided by Bosch, measuring 577 x 538 x 157mm.
But while Lidl’s Parkside Robot Lawnmower Garage – which measures 695 x 685 x 390mm – is open on each side, it could be an affordable and flexible alternative.
It can be used with other lawnmower brands including Gardena and Einhell.
It’s also quick and easy to assemble with six fastening screws and a hex key.
The garage’s sloped roof means easy drainage of potential rainwater, which is also hinged to enable easy access to the robot lawnmower control panel and charging station.
It is still important to ensure quality when buying cheaper products, like those offered by Lidl.
While the price may be enticing, shoppers should make comparisons with alternative brands and stores.
Websites like Trolley and Price Spy let you compare thousands of products across different retailers to find the best price.
Price Spy even lets you see how much an item has cost over time, so you can see if the current price is a good deal.
A quick scan on the Google Shopping/Product tab will also bring up how much retailers are selling a certain item for.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
